Bulking-billing Doctors will soon be making house-calls in the Cairns area as part of the new House Call Doctor service.
The 100% bulk billed afterhours doctor service will be launching in the tropical North Queensland city of Cairns on Tuesday 1st of March 2016.
A team of local General Practitioners and Emergency Doctors will be making House Calls to residents and holidaymakers every weeknight and weekend when local GPs are closed and the service is 100 percent bulk billed for all Medicare and DVA card holders.
House Call Doctor Chief Executive Wayne Ormond said, “Our 13 55 66 line has been receiving a huge number of calls from patients needing a Doctor in the afterhours within Cairns area”.
Since launching in the Wide Bay area in April 2015 House Call Doctor has expanded to cover many regional Queensland areas and across south-east Queensland, treating thousands of patients each month – in their own home are no cost.
House Call Doctor will provide patients’ regular GP with all the consultation notes from the visit.
