Whether ‘Home’ is a house, an aged care facility, hostel or retirement village, House Call Doctor hears your call for after-hours care.

House Call Doctor understands older Australians, their relatives and staff in aged care regularly need a doctor late at night and on weekends and that’s why we have a dedicated Aged Care Booking Hotline. To Register for this, click here and we will contact you with more information.

Our staff and doctors understand the urgency and compassion that’s needed when making a house call to an older Australian and that’s why so many aged care facilities and retirement homes have House Call Doctor as their preferred after-hours service.

Our doctors are highly qualified, accredited and equipped to provide comprehensive medical care from prescribing and administering medications to treatment and palliative care.

Staff and residents in aged care facilities, as well as retirement villages, can have peace of mind in knowing detailed patient reports are made available after each house call and all visits are bulk billed through Medicare and DVA.

Why Call For a House Call Doctor?

Our service has a doctor come to you while your aged care residents waits in the comfort of their chair or bed. It saves on ambulance time, and it means the patient – and nursing staff – doesn’t have to wait until their regular doctor is back on duty.

Quick Response Time

House Call Doctor patients are regularly seen within two to three hours of making a booking. We know no one likes to wait so our call centre and chaperones keep you updated on estimated arrival times.

Highly Trained Staff

Our medical deputising service is AGPAL/GPA accredited in accordance with the Federal Health Department requirements to meet the standards of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

100% Bulk Billed

For all Medicare and DVA card holders a house call is 100 percent bulk billed

Medication

House Call Doctor doesn’t charge extra for medication. Our doctors make sure you have enough medication to get you through the night or until your local chemist and/or doctor reopens.
