Testimonials

Originally starting with House Call Doctor as a part time chaperone eight weeks ago, I have risen through the ranks to being promoted to Brisbane Supervisor through hard work, determination and willingness to help where necessary.
Being involved in a company who actively seeks managerial staff from its ranks is a refreshing experience and this will help in my plans to continue my business studies through an MBA next year while maintaining my position with the company.
I would strongly recommend the chaperone position to anyone who was interested in part time work or looking for the possibility of starting a career in logistics and management.

My name’s Travis and I have been studying paramedics for the past two years. I took a gap year to try and find some work to help me, financially, make it through the rest of university. I was lucky enough to land myself a position at House Call Doctor, as a chaperone. I couldn’t be happier with the position at HCD. It puts me in a position that is relevant to my field of study, allowing me to gain experience with patients and to garner experience and confidence in my driving and navigational skills. The opportunity to work alongside Doctors also gives me an insight into the medical world and a greater understanding of what it will be like, to work within the health sector. As the work is after hours and weekends, I am able to fit my life in around the job, HCD has been very flexible in allowing me to, generally, work the hours I want. So far I have enjoyed and appreciated the experience of working with HCD and look forward to continuing to work within the company throughout the rest of my university and beyond.

Working for House Call Doctor has been a rewarding experience. The company prides itself on excellent and professional service to the community, and as a chaperone I have been given the opportunity to not only witness but help deliver this first hand. Assisting doctors I have been responsible for ensuring their safety and that patients are cared for in a timely and responsible manner. Not only have I gained new skills in this job but also a real sense of satisfaction in knowing that what I am doing makes a real difference to the lives of people around me.

As a mother of 4 living in Toowoomba my life is pretty busy. School runs, playdates, concerts, sports carnivals and trying to run a household in between.
When I applied for a job with House Call Doctor I wasn’t sure what to expect, I was sceptical because nothing can always be as good as it sounds. Wow was I wrong. From the first point of contact by the Toowoomba Area Manager Tenille I was impressed.
My job and the hours fit in perfectly with not only my kids and their activities but also with my partner’s work schedule. Being a chaperone for House Call Doctor is by far the best job I have had – it allows me to be with my kids when they need me and the feeling of satisfaction after I have finished my shift is priceless.
I love my job not only because it hasn’t interfered with our lifestyle but because I feel a sense of pride that we are doing something to help others in the community. Everyone we come across is so appreciative that we can be there for them when they need us.
From the doctors to fellow chaperones it is a warm and friendly working environment. Which really does make it the perfect job.

Since commencing in the after hours medical services industry 5 years ago – Being a chaperone supervisor for House Call Doctor is by far the best experience I have had. The team environment, job satisfaction and support given is second to none. The hours fit in perfectly with my other commitments and the doctors and fellow chaperones are fantastic to work with. The feeling of satisfaction at the end of each shift knowing that you have helped people and the community is what makes me love my job. The House Call Doctor team in Toowoomba are fantastic and a pleasure to work with and management is so supportive and encouraging.
I would recommend being a chaperone to anyone who needs that happy life/work balance and wants to be a part of a fun, passionate team.

I love my job! It’s not often that you hear someone say such words about having a job. My name is Mark and I am a chaperone for House Call Doctor on the Gold Coast. Working for House Call Doctor is great, it provides me with flexible hours and a sense of achievement that I’m doing my bit for the community. As a chaperone you will find that no 2 days are the same in the role which is what I like most. I am currently studying Real Estate agency management via distance education and because I work for House Call Doctor I am able to sit down to study as well as still having a social life. Our team is like a small family where we all work and support each other. I would recommend this role to anyone wanting flexibility and also those who are wanting to work in the medical profession.
